Download the Quest APK
On your computer, get ObscuredMedia-MetaQuest.apk from the official Quest download. Keep it somewhere easy to find.
The Quest APK is different from the Android phone APK.

Turn on developer mode
If needed, register and verify a Meta developer account. In the Meta Horizon mobile app, select your headset and open Headset Settings → Developer Mode. Turn it on.
Menu names can move as Meta updates the app.
Connect and install with SideQuest
Install the SideQuest Advanced Installer on your computer. Connect the powered-on headset with a USB-C data cable and accept Allow USB debugging? inside the headset.
When SideQuest shows the headset connected, choose Install APK file from folder on computer, select the Quest APK, and wait for success.

Find it in Unknown Sources
Unplug the headset. In Quest, open App Library (Apps), change the filter to Unknown Sources or Unknown, then choose Obscured Media.
The category may appear only after the APK installs. If the app is absent, confirm SideQuest reported success and check the filter again.

Before connecting: start the Windows server
The Quest app can only find and connect to your library while the Windows network server is running. Keep it running while you use the app.
Start the server, then pair
On Windows, unlock your library and choose Network → Start Server. Wait for Running. Put the PC and Quest on the same local network.
In the headset, select the PC, follow the six-digit pairing prompt, and approve the request on Windows. Pick a video to enter the private theatre.

Check the stage that failed, then retry from there.
SideQuest does not see my Quest
Check developer mode, the USB-C data cable, and the USB debugging prompt inside the headset. On Windows, the Oculus ADB driver may be needed.
Obscured Media is missing in the headset
Confirm SideQuest shows a successful APK install. Open App Library / Apps, select Unknown Sources or Unknown, and look for Obscured Media.
The Quest cannot find my PC
Unlock the Windows library, start its server in Network, and connect both devices to the same local network. Review Windows Firewall status on the Network page.
I need to update the Quest app
Download the newer Quest APK from the official site and repeat the SideQuest installation steps. Use the Quest file, not the Android phone file.
